1. Introduction

Welcome to YenDidii. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, process, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and our web services.

2. Data We Collect

To provide you with the best experience, we collect information when you create an account, browse food, list meals, or make transactions:

  • Identity Data: Name, phone number, and account profile details (such as whether you are registered as a Cook or an Eater).
  • Location Data: Live geographical coordinates. This is required to calculate distances to nearby cooks, show listings in the Map View, and coordinate food handovers.
  • Financial Data: Payments are processed via Paystack. We do not store full credit card details on our servers. We store payment status and transaction history.
  • Content Data: Food listing titles, descriptions, categories (e.g. Rice Dishes, Soups & Stews), pricing, portion count, and photos uploaded by cooks.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data for the following reasons:

  • To authenticate your profile (Thomas Cook, Tamara Badu, etc.) and save user preferences.
  • To display active cooks and meals on the map within the Explore interface.
  • To coordinate order delivery or pickup times.
  • To manage kitchen sessions, payouts, and revenue metrics on the Cook Dashboard.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information necessary to fulfill orders (e.g. sharing your phone number or name with the Cook when you order, or with the Eater when they are coming to collect a dish).

5. Data Security

All data is transferred securely using modern encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL) and backed by Supabase infrastructure. We maintain rigorous standards to ensure your account details and order records remain private.

6. Your Rights

You can edit your profile information or delete your account at any time directly through the Profile tab in the application. For further inquiries or data removal requests, please contact us at support@yendidii.com.
